I Did It!
Home |
I did it! I've lost 50 pounds now. Yesterday morning when I
got on the scale, it said 155. It said it again this morning.
I think it's safe to say that I'm 50 pounds down now! I going to try
to drop another 5 by Christmas. My blood pressure is down, my resting heart rate is down. My waist has gone from 39 to 31 inches. I feel better. I have more energy. That's all good stuff! The downside now is that most of my clothes no longer fit. My jeans are too big. My shorts are too big. My shirts are too big. My belts are all too big too. That includes my holster belts and my shotgun belts. I can't go shoot as I have no way to carry my pistols or shotgun shells. I need all new clothes. This part will be expensive. Thankfully, my wife is getting me a new shotgun belt for Christmas. She's already ordered one from Bob Mernickle. On a whim, I gave him a call about my holster belt. He's going to cut it down so that it fits right. Then I'll be able to get back out to the range after Christmas, so that will be good. I'm missing all my shooting friends. I'm continuing to ride, though I'm spending more time on the trainer and on rollers. The rollers are helping me to improve my technique and smooth out my pedaling. So that's really good. The trainer is keeping me in shape, though I can't seem to spend more than an hour on it. 30 to 45 minutes seems to be my normal trainer time. It's very boring. I need to get some workout DVD's to help keep me motivated and on it. I hope to get the first one before the month is out. |
